Session Info

I love planning your portrait session with you! When you inquire about a session, we will talk a bit about what you are looking for. Once we figure out the reason for your session and the look you are going for, we can either create a mood board on Pinterest together or you can send me your own board or screenshots of images you like. It, also, helps me to get a feel of what you want and the idea you have in mind. We will book a date and find a location. Most people like having their sessions outdoors. I do want to offer doing sessions at indoor locations as well. The newest trend is doing photos inside stores, and I have to say that it’s pretty fun (as long as we don’t get yelled at)!

During the session itself, my goal is for you to have a fun experience and for you to be relaxed. We will laugh, be goofy, and I will get you to do a few poses that feel awkward but look amazing in photos. And if your body starts to hurt, you’ll know you are doing it right! After our session, I will edit your images by hand. Once they are edited, they will be delivered to you online and as prints, if you purchase them.

For women, I recommend having your hair and makeup done professionally. I am a makeup artist myself and can tell you that it makes a big difference, not only in the photographs themselves but also in giving you an extra boost of confidence that you wouldn’t have otherwise. Having your hair done completes the process and makes your look and the photos look more put together. Accessories are a big help, too! As far as outfits go, it truly depends on the type of session we are doing. For formal portraits, neutrals or garments without prints or text look the best. For more modern sessions, a lot will work! Just talk to me and I will help you with ideas and putting outfits together. (All the outfits on the feed below were styled and accessorized by me.) For family sessions, coordinating colors work best. This makes the photos look cohesive and honestly, more beautiful. For professional headshots… well, you need a suit or any other formal attire.
